Housekeeper

Private, busy couple is seeking a Diligent, Experienced Part-Time Housekeeper to maintain a 4-story home in the North End of Park Slope in Brooklyn, NY - FULL BENEFITS! IMMEDIATE HIRE!

The Ideal Candidate: This couple is looking for a kind, experienced housekeeper for their home in Brooklyn, NY. Someone who is tactical about their cleaning - knows what rooms are being used more often than others and when to clean which rooms. Someone proactive and thoughtful - knows what needs to be done and does it without having to be asked or micro-managed. Someone who understands and can make their own cleaning plan and is seamlessly working for the couple so they know and trust everything is being taken care of. Someone who thinks ahead and anticipates what this couple needs and knows where to be when. The couple travels a lot and would love someone willing to occasionally stay over when they are not home to keep an eye on the home.

What Works Best for this Couple: The household comprises this lovely couple and their three cherished cats so someone comfortable with their cats (2 of which are a bit skittish and will take time to warm up to you and the other who is an older cat) and be very gentle and kind with them. These are indoor cats so someone who is also aware of where the cats are so they do not get out.

Responsibilities:

Deep and thorough cleaning of their 4-story Brownstone including all bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas.

Tasks include dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning bathrooms throughout the residence.

Laundry duties encompassing clothes, sheets, towels, and linens. Ironing is also preferred.

Occasional assistance with pet care.

Help with errands including pick up and drop off of dry cleaning.

Someone present in the home to receive deliveries and oversee any vendors that might need to come to the home (i.e. HVAC, gardener, pest control, maintenance people, etc.)

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Housekeeper in a high-end home.

Comfortable with, and able to take stairs.

Calm, relaxed, and trustworthy as well as warm, considerate, friendly, thoughtful, and proactive.

Must be detailed and thorough.

Requested Duration: Indefinitely

Position Requirements:

Work Hours: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday (flexible)

Languages: English (Excellent communication in English is key)

Experience: At least 05 Years of Experience working in a similar role in a private home

References: Minimum of 2 References

Background: Pass stringent background checks and drug testing upon offer of hire

Personality Traits: Kind-hearted, professional, reliable, mature, proactive, detailed, self-directed, positive, ability to work independently, engaging, and easygoing.

Position Compensation:

Salary: $35+/hour, DOE, on payroll, Negotiable for the right candidate
