Duration: Full-time

Location: Orlando, FL

Salary: $90,000-$120,000/Annually

Role: Embedded Firmware Engineer

Role Description: The Embedded Firmware Engineer must have at least 9+ years of experience.

Responsibilities:

- Analyzes requirements, develops technical specifications, and creates documentation for custom circuit boards.

- Develop and maintain schematics and PCB layouts using Altium design software.

- Coordinate with Mechanical Engineers to meet packaging requirements.

- Develop integration plans and procedures for board-level and system-level performance verification testing.

- Complete obsolescence and supply chain shortage research and part replacement selection.

- Hands-on troubleshooting and analysis, identifying potential board issues and driving circuit improvements.

Skills:

- Circuit design, modeling, and analysis

- Ability to troubleshoot designs at the PCB or component level

- Power electronics design

- Basic understanding of Radio Frequency theory

- Familiarity with lab test equipment – Network Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Power Meters, Signal Generators, Waveguide & Coaxial components, etc.

- Proficient in using Altium.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronics Engineering with a concentration in Circuit Design required, Master’s degree preferred.

- 4+ years’ Experience in PCB layout and schematic design.

- RF circuit design experience desired

- Power electronics circuit design experience

- EMC compatible design experience

- Knowledge of RF Test Equipment operation & circuit troubleshooting

- VHDL programming and troubleshooting desired

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent

Experience: Minimum 9+ years of experience

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses

Travel: No

Local Preferred: Yes

Note: Must be able to work on a W2 basis (No C2C)
