In this position, the scientist will contribute to several funded collaborative projects aimed at (1) developing novel cell type specific viral (AAV-based) tools in nonhuman primate models and (2) producing single cell genomic (RNA-seq and ATAC-seq) datasets to understand epigenetic and transcriptomic properties of brain cell types.

The Senior Research Specialist is expected to oversee technicians as well as to carry out independent research. The ideal applicant will have a background in molecular biology, genomics, or molecular neuroscience, strong programming abilities, and a keen interest in the lab's research. Prior expertise with single cell genomics, cell culture, or next generation sequencing is advantageous.
