This position is eligible for a hybrid work location schedule upon successful completion of probation and recommendation of management.

ORGANIZATION & DEPARTMENT:

The Trust Department oversees the safekeeping of investments, performs income and asset reconciliation for the portfolios administered by the office, and monitors collateralization of public deposits. The Trust Department administers the Linked Deposit and BidOhio programs.

Within the state’s investment portfolio, up to twelve per cent can be used to support Linked Deposit programs. Certificates of deposit (CDs) are placed with approved Ohio financial institutions at reduced interest rates. The partnering financial institution offers loans or savings accounts for specific purposes authorized in statute. The current active programs are Ag-LINK, GrowNOW, Family Forward, and Ohio Homebuyer Plus.

BidOhio auctions are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month. Approved Ohio financial institutions can participate in the online auction by submitting interest rate bids for three-month or six-month certificates of deposit.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Support management of the CD programs. Coordinate activities for BidOhio and Linked Deposit and perform necessary tasks. Track, review and process applications in accordance with program guidelines; explain program guidelines to others; monitor auctions; manage the CD funding process; maintain statistics; and prepare publications and/or reports. Serve as a contact for internal and external parties including loan officers, bankers and members of the TOS Investments Department. Update policies and procedures. May make presentations to external groups. Assist with training less experienced staff. Other projects and responsibilities, as assigned.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

BS in accounting, finance, economics, business administration or related field from accredited university.

Two years’ relevant work experience.

Exceptional verbal and organizational skills; strong attention to detail; ability to define and resolve problems; ability to analyze data, examine facts, draw valid conclusions and make appropriate recommendations; ability to handle sensitive external communications; and ability to calculate fractions, decimals and percentages.
