Benson Blackburn (an Alera Group company) is seeking an experienced Client Service Associate to join our team!

We have a national practice with clients coast to coast. The primary function of this position is to support Benson Blackburn's client service platform, called the Accountability Platform. Supporting the Accountability Platform involves reminding clients of upcoming premium payments, verifying application of premium payments, updating client insurance summaries with annual inforce illustrations, and scheduling client review meetings with the Partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operating the Benson Blackburn Accountability Platform

Responsible for understanding the different types of life insurance products - the differences between them, similarities, characteristics of each type, etc.

Draw meaningful conclusions about an insurance portfolio's or policy's performance from data obtained through research

Responsible for assisting with creating portfolio performance reviews for all policies, which includes: ordering inforce policy information, assessing current policy performance, and developing and formatting meaningful alternative solutions

Responsible for obtaining basic policy information such as a copy of a premium notice, policy summary statements, current cash values, interpolated terminal reserve values, wiring instructions, premium payment history, etc.

Assist with any policy changes such as death benefit reductions, owner/beneficiary changes, processing loan or withdrawal requests, policy surrenders, death claims, funding changes, etc.

Able to effectively use Smart Office (CRM) for documentation purposes, as well as creating and running reports.

Communicate with Partners and Team regarding policy changes or red flags

Update insurance summaries and Smart Office for clients based on any changes made

Understand electronic client file organization, how to locate materials and where to save newly created pieces

Assist with paperless initiative - scanning/saving policy statements, premium payment notices, etc. received directly from the insurance carriers QUALIFICATIONS

Life insurance client service in an insurance company or agency setting

Microsoft Office tools including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
