Mobile Equipment Operator - Level I

ABOUT THE ROLE This position will work in various areas using industrial equipment to provide a smooth and safe operation.

Operators maintain a rotating shift schedule.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING * Ability to operate various heavy equipment.

* Will be required to learn how to operate a gantry crane for unloading vessels caring fuels and raw materials * Troubleshoot production issues and take appropriate corrective actions.

* Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.

* Practice and promote safety in such way as including but not limited to; assessing risks before starting tasks, only performing authorized activities, utilizing appropriate PPE.

* Exercise and encourage core values including but not limited to; developing self and coaching others by inspiration and empowerment * Follows all safety procedures, checks for safety hazards, takes correction action to eliminate safety hazards.

* Ensure safe practices including lock-out, tag-out, try-out, confined space, and hot work permits.

* Ensure compliance with ISO environmental and quality standards, and housekeeping.

Maintain high work standards.

* Other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Required Education: High School diploma/GED Required Work Experience: 2-4 years industrial experience Travel Requirements: Less than 10% Required Computer and Software Skills: Basic computer skills Additional Requirements: * A good understanding of the basics of the cement manufacturing process is preferred.

* Must possess a valid driver's license.

* High degree of safety awareness * Initiative; ability to learn; team player; and strong communication/interpersonal skills * Self-motivated and ability to work with minimum direct supervision * Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.

* Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.

Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
