Minimum requirements:

Mechanical Engineering Qualification
Minimum - 2 Years experience
Experience in one or more of the fields of mining, water reticulation, oil and gas, piping infrastructure and manufacturing is essential
Knowledge of the South African legislation governing pressure vessels, piping, and pressure accessories is essential. Namely, the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Mine Health and Safety Act as well as SANS 347 (Categorization and conformity assessment for all pressure equipment).
Exposure to manufacturing procedures and workshop practices as well as the production machinery utilized in a manufacturing facility is essential
Experience with pressure vessels will be an advantage
Exposure to International Legislation and Standards would be advantageous. Namely, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) B16.5, B16.10, B16.34 and the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section II and VIII Part D, American Petroleum Institute (API) Standards 6D, 608, and 598 and Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) of the European Union
