POSITION OVERVIEW

Alarm.com is a high-growth SaaS company driving innovation in the Internet of Things (IoT) space. We’ve experienced steady, healthy growth over the past several years and established a high-performing accounting team along the way. The Senior Revenue Accountant will be responsible for tracking payments received by the company, creating invoices, and keeping accurate transaction records. The position will report directly to the Manager, Revenue Accounting.

Responsibilities

The Senior Revenue Accountant’s primary job responsibilities will include:

Responsible for preparation of deferred revenue, journal entries, accounts reconciliations and flux analysis.

Review new customer contracts to determine proper accounting under ASC 606 and track existing contracts to ensure accurate and timely execution of accounting.

Perform reconciliations of account receivables, contractual incentives, and deferred revenue

Assist in the preparation of the company’s monthly and quarterly reporting requirements around revenue under ASC 606, along with the accumulation of support for the company’s annual audit.

Assist in implementation, maintenance, and adherence to accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP, within an internal control framework.

Analyze financial data, ad-hoc reporting and special projects as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting coupled with 3+ years related experience.

Knowledge of GAAP Accounting, particularly in relation to current revenue recognition guidelines.

High proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge of Excel.

Strong initiative, willingness to take ownership and drive projects to completion, excellent organizational and communication skills, detail-orientated, team player, and intellectual curiosity.

Desired Qualifications:

Active CPA designation.

Experience working in a SOX environment.

Previous experience in the technology industry.

Prior experience in a high-growth public company.
