About the TeamThe Business Technology Go-To-Market team works in close partnership with our business partners to help fuel growth and revenue goals for Workday, along while driving exceptional Customer and employee experiences. The team is responsible for developing and supporting innovative architecture-led solutions for our Marketing, Sales, Services, Customer Support & Legal business functions with Salesforce being the primary platform alongside other cutting edge technologies such SnapLogic for Integrations, Conga/Apttus for CPQ, CLM, AWS as PaaS, Coveo Search Platform, OKTA for SSO, Reltio and many others

About the Role

Workday BT is seeking a Salesforce Platform Architect who is a hardworking, hands-on professional with the Salesforce Platform and eco-system of tools supporting GTM function. You enjoy working closely with executives, program and product managers, and analysts to craft, architect and maintain our Salesforce implementations, including the appropriate Salesforce product and integrations.

In a delivery capacity, you will ensure effective solution design to meet business requirements. You are currently certified and have hands-on experience of all aspects of Salesforce.com (SFDC) including design, configuration, customization and implementation of applications and 3rd party integrations (a particular focus on Service Cloud preferred). The Architect collaborates with internal and customer partners and development teams to craft and build solutions in SFDC that support processes for continuous improvement. The Architect has proven experience with Visualforce, APEX programming, Force.com APIs.

Extensive knowledge of Salesforce.com data structure and understanding of how to demonstrate the platform to meet sophisticated process and reporting requirements

Research, design, develop, demonstrate and test high quality functional and marketing prototypes and end-to-end solutions on the SFDC platform based on industry standard methodologies as well as business needs

Execute the process of implementing improvements and new functionality in SFDC application

Communicate and collaborate with technical staff and executive and management partners regarding status, technical issues and creative solutions

Ability to train and support staff with configuration tasks such as field/page updates, workflows, automated approvals

Handle numerous projects/priorities using validated project management methodologies and sound development practices to ensure the quality delivery of enterprise solutions

Advise project teams and clients on standard methodologies for security, privacy, license compliance and considerations, and governance of Salesforce.com data and applications

Collaborate with business analysts and technical staff and be responsible for delivering complete work products

Implement and deploy AppExchange products

Research integration issues and work closely with team members on operations and development staff

Research and maintain current certifications on salesforce.com technologies and communicate trends and future needs from a business and technical perspective

Build business partner trust, respect and strong customer relationship

Document standard methodologies and implementation procedures

Facilitate continuous improvement within the environment

Provide mentorship to other Workday employees on Salesforce development, architecture and strategies

About You

Business qualifications:

8+ years of industry experience as a Salesforce.com developer or architect

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

Other Qualifications:

Salesforce Technical Architect certification is highly preferred

Deep understanding and experience with Salesforce Service and Sales Cloud

Must have historical and validated knowledge and practical application of Visualforce, APEX programming, Force.com APIs, and Web Services

Experience with database software, Platform as a Service solutions

Unique combination of being business-minded and highly analytical while also having a strong and deep technical background in Salesforce.com

Ability to work on multiple tasks and deliver results with ambitious timelines

Able and willing to work independently and in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, with minimal direction

Good interpersonal skills, as well as superb communication skills, verbal and written to both technical and non-technical audiences that are in a geographically dispersed environment (conference calls, Skype, face-to-face)

Take initiative to recommend process improvements and demonstrate creative thinking

Demonstrate self motivation and the ability to grasp concepts quickly

Demonstrate sharp, analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills

Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum specifically)

Knowledge of other case management, knowledge management and community technologies is a plus.

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $172,400 USD - $258,600 USD

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $152,000 USD - $258,600 USD
