Opportunity Details

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior Business Analyst – Cyber for a 4-month contract with its Ottawa/Montreal-based customer.

Key Tasks

Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate the business and system requirements Contribute to the development of cyber security strategies aligned with organizational objectives and industry best practices Conduct thorough risk assessment to identify potential cyber security threats and vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies Work closely with technical teams to translate business requirements into actionable cyber security solutions, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and regulatory compliance Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of cyber security controls and processes and provide report to management Facilitate communication between technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership to ensure a clear understanding of cyber security risks, initiatives, and priorities Manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle ensuring they are met using a traceability matrix Provide business analysis expertise and support to aid decision making by conducting in-depth analysis, summarizing, and providing recommendations either in a documented or presentation format Develop operational and support processes and procedures that are aligned with the organization’s needs Develop test plans and test cases, user guides and provide training Facilitate testing activities, including defect management, and capture the test results Actively engage in team meetings and provide updates on progress regarding assigned deliverables

Key Qualifications

Experience assessing the potential impact of cyber security incidents on business operations and develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions Cybersecurity Knowledge- Proficiency in cyber security principles, frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001), technologies and best practices Excellent knowledge of Process Mapping Techniques and 8+ years of experience as a business analyst on large corporate technology projects with extensive experience capturing business and system requirements

Qualifications

Analytical skills- Ability to analyze complex business processes and identify Cyber security requirements and risks Business acumen: Understanding of business operations, goals, and challenges, with the ability to align cyber security initiatives with business objectives Communication- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Problem solving- Aptitude for identifying and solving complex problems related to cyber security and business processes Collaboration- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross functional team and build consensus among diverse stakeholders Project Management- Experience in Project Management methodologies and tools to effectively manage cybersecurity projects from initiation to closure Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Information system, Business administration or a related field Industry certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) are preferred Excellent knowledge of Process Mapping Techniques Ability to act independently with minimum supervision & meet deadlines Ability to manage simultaneous projects from initiation to completion Ability to facilitate and lead requirements workshop Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to clearly communicate Strong interpersonal, fact finding, interviewing skills, Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Ability to collaborate closely with solution architects to ensure cohesive technology and business solutions Strong competency in use of MS Office Suite, SharePoint Online, MS Teams Knowledge of cyber security concepts & ITSM practices desirable Superior writing skills to prepare/edit comprehensive reports, and other documents with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
