Overview:

BPM MicroSystems seeks a dynamic and proactive Entry-Level Production Planner to join our team. This role is essential for bridging our sales and manufacturing operations, ensuring customer needs are met efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will coordinate production processes, manage schedules, and work closely with various departments to guarantee the smooth execution of manufacturing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the sales team to understand and fulfill customer requirements.

Approve and manage the allocation of materials, budget, equipment, and labor to meet production goals.

Estimate project timelines and develop detailed production schedules to achieve completion dates.

Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and maintenance teams to ensure resource availability.

Monitor project progress, maintaining adherence to schedules and addressing any deviations.

Resolve production issues, including staff shortages and equipment failures, to minimize disruptions.

Manage project documentation, including purchase orders, and maintain comprehensive records.

Oversee production costs and raw material utilization to optimize efficiency.

Analyze production data and team performance, recommending improvements to senior management.

Conduct daily analysis and planning to review work center capacity, ensuring alignment with sales forecasts and scheduling demands.

Ensure accuracy in labor reporting and actively address any issues identified.

Update and manage dispatch lists to prioritize customer delivery commitments.

Liaise with the quality department regarding equipment setup and maintenance schedules.

Sequence jobs and assignments effectively, facilitating communication between shop floor supervisors and scheduling teams.

Provide customer service with updates on order status and completion estimates.

Oversee daily production meetings, coordinating cross-departmental communications to preempt production challenges.

Ensure labeling accuracy for finished goods in collaboration with customer service.

Skills and Qualifications:

Strong decision-making and stress management capabilities.

Effective communication abilities, both written and verbal.

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Proficiency in mathematics, particularly statistics.

Solid understanding of business operations and keen attention to detail.

Efficiency, accuracy, and computer literacy.

Advanced problem-solving skills and knowledge of supply chain and distribution management.

Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

Educational background or apprenticeship in production planning is advantageous.
