Site Reliability Engineer

The successful candidate will be based in the United Kingdom and must have at least good-years residency to be eligible for security vetting. Some level of travel to the client site in central London or Corsham can be expected, in line with the needs of the business.

The Opportunity

Join our team of DevOps Engineers and help us transform how we leverage data! As a key contributor, you will directly shape our data analytics platform's automation, testing, and ongoing enhancement. Your work will ensure our systems remain efficient and secure and perform at the highest levels.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Expertise: Maintain pipelines, Terraform code, and AWS stack for optimal platform performance.

Automation Focus: Patch, update, and automate tasks for maximum efficiency.

Incident Lead: Coordinate incident response with L2 and SRE teams.

Handover and Reviews: Facilitate daily SRE handovers and post-incident reviews.

Reporting and Improvement: Monitor queues, create reports, and implement automations.

AWS Knowledge: Expertise in S3 ACLs, VPC, Inspector, CloudHSM, Key Management, Shield, Cloud Native Security

Strong Technical Skills: Linux proficiency, coding skills (Python, Golang, Java), Kubernetes

Hybrid Bonus: On-premises infrastructure knowledge a plus.

Qualifications

Kubernetes: Deep understanding of Kubernetes (ideally EKS and other platforms), along with containerization concepts.

HashiCorp: Proficiency with Terraform and ideally experience with Vault.

GitOps & CI/CD: Experience with GitOps practices and CI/CD tools (ArgoCD, Jenkins, or TeamCity).

Monitoring Tools: Proficiency with Prometheus and Grafana.

AWS Knowledge: Strong expertise in a wide array of AWS services including: IAM, S3 ACLs, VPC, Inspector, CloudHSM, Key Management. WAF, Cloud Security, Shield.

Linux Skills: Excellent command of Linux environments.

Coding Proficiency: Solid coding skills in at least one language (Python, Golang, or Java).
