Certified Medical Assistant -or- Registered Medical Assistant

We are partnering with a local medical facility in Kinston, NC who is seeking a highly motivated and organized Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) to join their growing team.

This is an elect-to-hire position, offering the potential to transition to a permanent role with a comprehensive benefits package upon successful completion of the probationary period.

Responsibilities:

Handle patient referrals and obtain Protected Health Information (PHI) following HIPAA regulations

Validate and approve prescription refills according to physician orders

Administer injections and perform other clinical duties as directed by the healthcare provider

Assist with scheduling and rescheduling appointments

Maintain accurate medical records

Prepare treatment rooms for patient exams

Record patient medical history

Clean and sterilize medical equipment

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

A.A.S. degree in Medical Assisting is mandatory

Certification in medical assisting is mandatory

Prior experience working in family medicine is a plus

Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply

Must be compliant with all required immunizations

Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening

- Certified Medical Assistant with AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants); Registered Medical Assistant with ARMA (American Registry of Medical Assistants)

- CPR certification preferred or certification attained within the first 6 months of employment
