Apprentice Statistician – MSc Medical Statistics Adelphi Values Patient-Centered Outcomes

What you will be doing
This apprenticeship role offers a unique opportunity to learn and work in a global healthcare consultancy company alongside a team of statisticians, psychometricians and programmers. In this full-time role, you will be working in project teams supporting statistical and psychometric analyses, and alongside you will be studying for a level 7 (masters) in Medical Statistics with the University of Strathclyde.
20% of your time will be dedicated towards study (3-year study period), with tuition fees fully paid for and a full-time salary.
Our statistical analyses involve the analysis of clinical trial data, with a focus on patient-centred outcomes such as quality of life, including how a patient is functioning, feeling or experiencing symptoms. Alongside more clinical measurements, such as blood pressure or survival time, these outcomes are used to inform healthcare decisions between different treatments. Our psychometric analyses are based around how we collect this data, including the creation of the outcome measures to be used in clinical trials and assessment of how reliable and valid they are within different patient populations.
What we are looking for:
A highly numerate individual with a mathematics or mathematics with statistics bachelor’s degree (2:2 minimum) with an interest in applying statistics in the field of healthcare and medicine
Highly organised, with a rational approach to problem solving
A passion to learn
Able to work in a team
Good time management to balance work and study
Eligible for a UK Government-approved level 7 (Masters) in Medical Statistics
This role is based in our Bollington office, near Macclesfield
Starting Salary of £24,000

Attending meetings with pharmaceutical company clients
