Auto Mechanic Urgent

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Identifies the cause of vehicle defect or breakdown.

Recommends solutions to specific problems/defects identified with all the company vehicles.

Coordinates with the Driver/Helper from time to time to check if there are untoward noises or feeling on the trucks when running.

Monitors tire and battery for replacement.

Prepares schedule on repacking of wheel bearing.

Overhaul, maintains and repair engines and transmission, steering and brake systems, under chassis parts, fuel system, main engines parts and cooling system.

Keep a track record of all repair maintenance and repair works performed (e.g. date and specific spare parts used replaced)

Performs road test on all vehicles to locate operational defects prior to active use.

Coordinates with immediate Supervisor spare parts requirements and parts that need to undergo machine shop or engine rebuild

Monitors drivers and helpers when conducting checks on air, water, fuel and tire before leaving for any trip.

Maintains housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace.

Complies with all Company policies adherence to Company Code of Conduct and Discipline and Safety Procedures (including proper wearing of Personnel Protective Equipment).

Performs related duties that maybe assigned from time to time.
