1. Reviews and analyzes purchase requisitions. Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning, QA/QC, engineering departments and others to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner.
2. Processes purchase requisitions, purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers.
3. Participates in maximizing the procurement teams’ changes, part parameters; quote table maintenance, supplier database information, and part number/supplier code information.
4. Performs cost analysis and volume planning (e.g. materials, components, equipment and services).
5. Monitors the cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to negotiate highest quality at best value.
6. Develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive.
7. May recommend cost saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis or alternative sourcing.
8. Interacts closely with suppliers and QA to resolve quality issues.
9. Requires domestic or global expertise of assigned commodities.
Qualifications
1. A graduate of BS Industrial engineering or any related course.
2. Minimum of 2 years experience in procurement or buyer post.
