Assembler / Solder

This is an established small business with 20 employees, including 12 lab techs. Ideal candidates should be comfortable working in a small businesses atmosphere. The majority of the work is performed under the microscope performing micro-electronic assembly.

Normal schedule is Monday - Friday with every other Friday off, working 80 hrs in a 2 week period. Time is normally 7:00am-4:30pm, but flexible if someone needs to work a 7:30am-5:00pm or 8:00am-5:30pm. Laid back atmosphere where team collaboration is vital as they do variety of work.

This role is performed in a Clean Room environment, performing various assembly tasks including but not limited to soldering under a microscope, attaching bare die, epoxy dispensing, die attach, assembling components, and performing some rework processes. Soldering wires and or components, and wire bonding. Most of this work is on ceramic substrates or related metal packages that the hybrids or components go into.

Responsibilities:

- Assemble products and sub-assemblies under a microscope

- Perform soldering tasks under a microscope

- Attach and remove components

- Dye Attach

- Attach wires/wire bonding

- Perform various rework tasks

- Learn and operate various equipment used in assembly processes (die attach, encapsulation, solder reflow)

- Complete all paperwork, time sheets, travelers, etc. as defined

- Follow ISO practices and defined work instructions

- Perform other duties as assignedEssential

Job Functions:

- Follow written and verbal instructions accurately

- Handle small tools and tweezers for precision work

- Proficient at soldering under a microscope

- Experience with quality standards, quality inspection, troubleshooting

- Work in a timely manner to meet schedule expectations

- Observe ESD practices and cleanliness requirements

- Prior microelectronics assembly experience required

- High School Diploma or equivalent
