Trade Marketing Associate
What this position is about – Purpose
This position is opened to meet the Trade Marketing & Distribution plan of KINSHASA, to maintain our leadership & the growth agenda and while improving the execution market control in as the benchmark supplier.The incumbent will oversee Implementing trade marketing plans for categories, he is assigned to track progress of marketing campaigns, activities, and all trade programs such as Micro-distribution to achieve sales target in the territory and uplift brands visibility as well as their competitiveness in the Point of sales. Provide and analyze the customer database of the territory; fix coverage plans of the soldiers and promotors to meet the sales target and budget in all channels.
You will be developing close relationship with wholesales, trade Marketing outlets, distributor sales representatives in all the distribution channels, identity opportunities for growth in the territory, and champion initiatives as well as the best practices for excellence execution in the assigned geographical zones to achieve sales volumes, off-take at retailers and impactful visibility.
What will you do – Responsibilities:
Cycle Planning: In charge of implementing cycle activities to boost sales, off-take, brand awareness & trade Loyalty
Implement brand and trade programs in the outlets according to cycle plan
Ensure the effective and efficient execution of marketing activities in the territory.
Drive maximum visibility to upgrade impact to consumers (Attract Consumers to Interact with our brands & generate an act of Purchase)
Distribution Management: Ensure that objectives in terms of brands availability, visibility (POSMs), Sales volume, Recommended Pricing & margin, Product quality are achieved in the territory
Micro-Distribution: Implement the Territory plan for cyclols/ soldier & their supervisors to ensure coverage & sales objectives are met.
Monitor Micro Distribution sales performance of the agents, stocks take, field execution of the agents; call frequencies & sequencies discipline as well as the utilization of the distribution tools (motorcycle /bikes and the digital Application to maintain a minimum customer data base of 120 outlets/ agents
Support the agency in the recruitment and maintenance of agents in line with the contract (SLA)
Customer Management: Develop close relationship with Key wholesalers & Distributor sales representatives to close gaps in the territory at Wholesaler level
Monitor Wholesalers & TM outlets performance in terms of stock replenishment
Identify Trade Marketing outlets in high traffic location, deploy qualitatively the POSMs &
Monitor the quality & maintenance of placed Merchandizing maintenance
Stock inventory of key Wholesalers and influence loyalty & our competitiveness in their outlets
Reporting : OTIF reporting on feedback on Markets visits, new launches, pricing, quality, competition activities and implemented programs
Report Out of stocks situation & drive top up sales to cover the gap
Resources Management: Manage distribution tools, POMS's, Trade Incentives, man power & other resources to ensure coverage plan and objectives are met within the budget
20 visits per day (2 days Field Acco/ week)
Motivate and discipline promoters, runners et soldiers to achieve their targets in the territory
Whom are we looking for – Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Commercial sciences, Marketing, economics, or finance
5 years’ experience in sales and trade Marketing
Knowledge of the tobacco industry and/or FMCG's
Perfect Knowledge of KINSHASA
Fluently speak French & local languages (Lingala)
Basic English (Written)
Implementing trade programs commercial acumen Retail Influence Coverage Planning
Reporting, Microsoft excel, customer management
Defense driving skills.
Negotiation skills, effective communicator, agile
