As the Vice President, you will be responsible for overseeing and growing our replacement roofing business, managing a team of professionals, and ensuring the successful execution of projects. Your expertise in replacement roofing, strong leadership skills, and business acumen will drive the division's growth and profitability while maintaining high-quality standards and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Business Development and Growth:

Develop and execute the strategic plan for the retail reroofing division, aligned with overall company goals and objectives.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the retail sector, targeting national and regional retailers.

Build and maintain relationships with key clients, contractors, and industry partners to generate leads and secure new projects.

Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop effective marketing strategies and campaigns to promote the retail reroofing division.

Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities and adapt the division's offerings accordingly.

Project Management and Execution:

Oversee the successful execution of retail reroofing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project plans, budgets, and timelines.

Provide leadership and guidance to the project management team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across all project stakeholders.

Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or challenges promptly.

Review project budgets and financial performance, implementing measures to optimize profitability.

Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Team Leadership and Development:

Build and lead a high-performing team of professionals, including project managers, estimators, and support staff.

Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and a customer-centric approach.

Set performance goals and expectations, conducting regular performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback.

Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the retail reroofing division.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, regulations, and safety protocols in all retail reroofing projects.

Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Collaborate with the safety and compliance team to promote and maintain a strong safety culture within the division.

Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices related to retail reroofing.

Financial Management:

Develop and manage the P&L for the retail reroofing division, tracking and analyzing financial performance.

Monitor and control project costs, including labor, materials, and subcontractors, to optimize profitability.

Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely invoicing, payments, and financial reporting.

Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to support strategic decision-making and drive business growth.

Additional Responsibilities:

Handle additional responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in construction management, business administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Minimum of 10 years of experience in contracting or construction management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Proven track record of successfully developing and growing a retail reroofing division or business unit.

Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.

Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, contractors, and industry partners.

Team player attitude is a must.

Solid understanding of retail industry requirements and customer expectations.

Extensive knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques.

Familiarity with applicable building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Proficiency in project management software and financial analysis tools.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to travel as required.
