IT Infrastructure Technical Specialist
Reporting to Configuration Engineering Manager
We are looking for an advanced technician to join our team to help manage 150 locations, 44,000 workstation and 4000 servers. This technician will contribute to the management of SCCM and Remote access technologies including but not limited to: lifecycle and capacity management, administration, maintenance, vendor management and support. This is an operation position which will require you to use technical knowledge and organizational skills to implement, remediate and maintain Microsoft patch level across the enterprise, research and establish an application delivery framework that is consistent with architectural and self service delivery objectives.
You'll be:
An individual with a self-starter attitude and is outfit with skill sets to drive conversation, gain consensus, technically validate, and drive completion
Implementing & managing consumption, performance, and Monitoring platform reporting
Participating in deep dives for continual improvements to delivery and performance to ensure Worley’s customers benefit from the best application, patching and configuration experience.
Establishing governance and compliance framework for Application delivery, patching and configuration
Overseeing technical aspects to Service Delivery and partner with Service Partners to drive community of practice excellence.
Supporting audit function, prepare reports and documentation for Compliance
Participating and contribute to Knowledge Management, Problem and support the Incident Management process
Collaborating with Customer and Support organization for continual improvement
Carrying out routine patch management and application deployment libraries; prepare, distribute, and effect deployment of critical, security, and otherwise required patches of all managed libraries using tools such as SCCM and Citrix MCS
You'll have:
Experience supporting and managing and deploying SCCM and Server platforms in an enterprise environment using Cloud and on-premise solutions
Must have an expert understanding of Windows OS including Windows 10, Windows 11, Server 2016 and 2019
High level knowledge of enterprise technologies (ie: VMWare, Azure, Citrix, Aternity)
Ability to work independently without intensive oversight, take initiative, and research problems independently
Ability to identify, develop, and implement initiatives to improve the IT environment and user experience
Experience working with and supporting structured change management, testing, and configuration
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and trouble-shooting skills
High level knowledge of scripting for reporting, analysis and automation of manual processes
Sound knowledge of industry standards and methodologies
Ability to remain flexible as priorities change, adaptable to change, and able to accept ambiguity
Established skills in time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization of work
Education – Qualifications:
Post-secondary qualification in related field
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or Microsoft Operating Framework (MOF) qualifications and experience highly regarded
Relevant Microsoft Technical accreditation is highly desirable
