TAX MANAGER POSITION SUMMARY: As a Tax Manager at Brixey & Meyer, you'll work with a diverse range of clients across various industries and tax structures, offering consulting, tax preparation, and planning services. You'll play a key role in training our internal team and nurturing client relationships, all while being adaptable to new challenges as they arise. TAX MANAGER JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provide tax advice and handle routine client matters
Review and sign off on corporate, partnership/LLC, fiduciary, individual, and non-profit tax returns
Work with family-owned businesses on year-end tax planning
Manage state income tax matters and understand corporate tax issues
Conduct research and document various tax matters
Lead and manage both internal team members and external client relationships
Develop new client relationships and bring in new business to the firm
Understand ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes
Participate in Firm committees and activities
Promote the Firm positively in the community and through professional organizations involvement
Perform other duties as assigned TAX MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
5+ years of public accounting or equivalent industry experience
CPA certification in good standing or EA in good standing
Advanced computer literacy, including proficient use of all Microsoft Office products
Valid driver's license and safe driving record
Demonstrated client relationship management skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team setting
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
Provides team-members with timely, accurate, and constructive feedback regarding performance
