Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Director of Electrical Engineering, the Junior Electrical Engineer will join a small, collaborative team of engineers who are passionate about using technology to make clean energy more accessible, and are developing of the next generation of Meter Socket Adaptors for simplifying the installation of solar and energy storage in the home. This hands-on role will provide opportunities to learn about all aspects of the design and verification process for electronic assemblies.

Core Functions/Duties

Perform design verification testing of ConnectDER next generation product

Configure the equipment

Make measurements

Collect and share reports

Where appropriate, develop test scripts for automated data collection/analysis

Make recommendations on product enhancements based upon testing outcomes

Participate in design reviews for electronic design and embedded firmware

Opportunity to create test circuits, including schematic capture, breadboarding, soldering, etc.

*This is a paid internship that requires you to be onsite in our Philadelphia office.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Education

Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

Required Experience

Electrical or Electronics major (Junior or Senior)

Programming experience

Proficient with basic electronics lab equipment (power supply, multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.)

Preferred Experience

C/C++, Python experience

Embedded programming

Interest in green energy, solar, EV, and/or battery storage systems

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
