We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Controller to oversee all aspects of financial management, reporting, and compliance for a local organization here in Columbus. The Controller will play a critical role in shaping financial strategy, implementing best practices, and providing insightful analysis to support decision-making at all levels of the organization. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to make a significant impact and contribute to the continued success of our company.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the finance team in all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Develop and implement internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.

Manage the month-end and year-end close process, including reconciliations and financial analysis.

Collaborate with department heads to analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to drive business growth.

Coordinate and support external audits and tax filings.

Evaluate and recommend improvements to financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Provide leadership and mentorship to finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.

Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Proven leadership abilities with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
