We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscape Engineer to join our team for an infrastructure construction project. The Landscape Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, planning, and implementing sustainable and aesthetically pleasing landscapes that integrate seamlessly with the overall project objectives.
Responsibilities:
+ Development of innovative landscape designs that enhance the project's visual appeal while considering environmental sustainability, local regulations, and client requirements.
+ Conducting thorough site analyses to assess environmental conditions, soil composition, topography, drainage, and other factors influencing landscape design decisions.
+ Selecting appropriate plant species based on site conditions, climate, and design specifications. Oversee the installation of vegetation, including trees, shrubs, grasses, and ground covers.
+ Designing efficient irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution to planted areas while minimizing water waste. Specify irrigation methods, equipment, and scheduling protocols.
+ Collaborating with architects and civil engineers to integrate hardscape elements such as pathways, retaining walls, and decorative features into the landscape design.
+ Incorporating sustainable practices and materials into landscape design to minimize environmental impact and promote biodiversity. Implement erosion control measures and stormwater management strategies.
+ Coordinating with project stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and installation of landscape elements. Prepare project schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
+ Conducting inspections and quality control measures to ensure that landscape installations meet design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
+ Providing guidance and supervision to landscape technicians, contractors, and subcontractors involved in landscape installation and maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering or related field.
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in landscape design and construction, preferably in large-scale infrastructure projects and a minimum 3yrs+ experience in GCC (KSA experience ideally).
+ Proficiency in CAD software, GIS applications, and other relevant design tools.
+ Strong understanding of plant biology, soil science, irrigation principles, and landscape construction techniques.
+ Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage budgets, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams effectively.
+ Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to overcome challenges and optimize landscape design solutions.
