Harbor Health is looking for a Psychiatrist to become a member of our team! Harbor Health is an entirely new multi-specialty clinic group in Austin, TX utilizing a modern approach to co-create health with those who get, give, and pay for it, allowing everyone to fully flourish. The Psychiatrist will have an important role in shaping care at Harbor Health. In addition to providing general psychiatric care and consultation primarily in the ambulatory setting, the Psychiatrist will develop care pathways and clinical rules to support primary care colleagues. Services will include in-person, virtual, and telephone visits. Harbor emphasizes the health of the panel rather than typical productivity measures in fee-for-service. As a specialist, you will work in an innovative, team-based care environment with an emphasis on digital health. Health coaches are integrated into clinical teams to support and reinforce care plans and clinical pathways, while RNs provide support for clinical activities and a Clinical Pharmacy Program Director develops medication and disease-management protocols to support clinicians. These collaborating roles support not only attainment of health goals, but also clinician efficiency.

Our Psychiatrist will be responsible for:

Providing general psychiatric care and consultation to Harbor members

Developing care pathways and clinical rules

Collaborating to provide team-based care

Providing Clinician-to-Clinician (C2C) e-consultation to streamline care for issues that do not require an in-person assessment

Being involved in population health management to ensure appropriate screening for and treatment of psychiatric diseases across the Harbor Health population

For candidates with appropriate experience, this position is eligible for consideration for a faculty appointment at Dell Medical School. This position has a proposed start date of fall / winter 2023.

Successful Psychiatrists will have:

An MD or DO, along with the successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry Residency program

Board certification in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology

A Texas Medical License or be eligible for licensure in the state of Texas
