The Irrigation Technician performs all irrigation practices in the field as assigned. Specific responsibilities include operate, install, repair and maintain all components of an irrigation system including: heads, nozzles, piping, pump stations, valves, controllers, other plumbing, and electrical equipment used in an irrigation system. In addition to operating the irrigation equipment would be equipment inspection, routine/scheduled maintenance and all required paperwork. The successful candidate will be able to confidently use effective communication skills, organizational skills, and time management. Oversee all interactions with the customer and keep them informed as to all aspects of the process, as well as relationship building with the client and potential customers.

Skill Set and Education Requirements:

High School diploma or Equivalent

Minimum two years of experience in irrigation and repair

Valid driver’s license (Class A preferred)

Mechanical aptitude preferred with knowledge in electrical and hydraulics

Basic math skills

Proven customer service skills

Job Function:

Use specific job-related tools including engineer scale, multimeter, wire tracker

Ability to read and follow a blueprint

Strong math skills

Must be mentally and physically fit to perform assigned job duties including the ability to dig, bend and lift up to 100 pounds

Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in the field

Maintain strong customer relationships

Work outdoors in all weather conditions

Visit and inspect jobsites as needed ensuring jobs are kept on schedule

Continuing education requirement of minimum of 20 hours per year

Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Snow removal in winter

Pay:

$17.50 - $24.50
