SCADA Systems Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified candidate to join our team for a project with a public service client based in Arizona. The project involves configuring and remotely testing distribution system elements, requiring expertise in SCADA systems and related devices. The candidate will collaborate closely with a team consisting of a SCADA Engineer Lead and two contractors.

Responsibilities:

Work on SCADA architecture design and implementation.

Design network diagrams for the distribution system.

Configure system elements and set up device parameters using various tools, including those from GE, Schweitzer, Novotech, and Ryan.

Conduct remote testing of the configured elements in the Arizona lab.

Perform troubleshooting as needed during configuration and testing phases.

Participate in weekly meetings with the lead engineer to discuss project progress and commercial aspects with the project manager.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience in SCADA configuration and testing.

Hands-on experience with GE protective relays and SCADA devices such as D20, G500, UR relays, and HMI.

Familiarity with DNP and Modbus protocols.

Strong troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Networking knowledge, including experience with switches, firewalls, and routers.
