SaskEnergy is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team. The Specialist, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) leads the ERP team and collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive the implementation of ERP solutions that streamline operations and improve business processes. This position serves as a technical expert in ERP systems, modules and processes, and provides guidance on best practices, techniques, and tools for ERP implementation, configuration, and optimization.

Position Details

Non-union - This position is permanent full time.

Key Accountabilities

Lead and facilitate workshops and engagement sessions to understand and define business, process, and system requirements for ERP implementation.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business goals into ERP system requirements and develop implementation plans.

Assist with the implementation and testing of ERP solutions through development, user acceptance testing, deployment phases, and other standard IT processes.

Oversee the development, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of ERP solutions in production.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to ERP implementation team members.

Work with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of ERP modules with other systems and processes.

Ensure data quality and integrity within the ERP system through the implementation of best practices and quality assurance processes.

Communicate progress, issues, and solutions related to ERP implementation to stakeholders.

Stay current with ERP trends, technologies, and best practices.

Support the development and execution of the company’s ERP strategy.

Coordinate and allocate resources for ERP projects and initiatives.

Develop and implement enterprise-wide training program.

Maintain vendor relationships for implementation and support partners.

Help to review sensitive, secure, and financial data for various systems across the company.

Other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Eight (8) years of experience in a related field, with at least five (5) years of experience of working with ERP solutions.

Proven experience mentoring and training junior staff.

Experience with Agile development methodology and leading scrums is considered an asset.

Strategic thinking skills and the ability to understand corporate priorities and which actions will drive the most value.

Ability to build relationships, work collaboratively and resolve problems with people at all levels in the organization.

Skilled in facilitation and articulating recommendations to influence stakeholders.

Expert written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to grasp complex technical concepts and synthesize them into clear and meaningful communications for the target audience.

Ability to communicate effectively in both technical and business matters and can translate technical considerations into business implications.

Experience with cloud infrastructure, Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Power Platform is considered an asset.

Must have a continuing record of professional development and continuous learning.

A suitable combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.

Additional Information

Travel away from bid headquarters may be required on occasion.

A Class 5 Driver’s license is required.
