Karen Rand Associates (KRA LLC) is a rapidly growing, small-sized bookkeeping/business management firm for high-net-worth individuals and businesses. KRA has been featured in the NY Times, and other publications for the work that we do for our clients.
We are looking to add a responsible, detailed oriented leader to our team. The Accounting Manager will play a vital role in ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of care and satisfaction. You will leverage your exceptional client service management skills and comprehensive accounting knowledge to deliver an unparalleled client experience. Additionally, one of your primary focuses will be leading a team of skilled accounting professionals while simultaneously driving their growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles
Oversee all day to day operations of your team
Build strong relationships with your clients in order to understand business needs and provide exceptional service
Oversee client onboarding process for all assigned engagements
Review the account reconciliations, financial statements, budgets, and journal entries prepared by your team
Participate in the hiring, orientation, and ongoing training of staff accountants reporting to you
Monitor team member performance by reviewing the quality of their work and ensuring deliverables are being met in a timely manner
Coach, provide ongoing feedback, and conduct annual performance reviews of your team
Maintain confidentiality of all client data
Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency enhancement
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal government requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
10+ years of professional accounting experience
Previous management experience, encompassing responsibilities such as the hiring, training, and development of a motivated, service-oriented team.
Experience working in a multi-client environment preferred
Highly proficient in QuickBooks
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail oriented and possesses strong organizational skills
Compensation and Benefits:
$37 - $42/hr.
