Specialist - Lean and Operational Excellence

Your Key Responsibilities

Apply Lean methodologies to drive operational improvements across Schaefflers automotive plants in the Americas.

Execute Lean transformation strategies, including value stream mapping, 5S, visual management, standardized work, and continuous flow.

Partner with departmental leaders to identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement.

Facilitate Lean workshops, training sessions, and Kaizen events to engage employees and promote problem-solving and teamwork.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure progress toward Lean and operational excellence goals.

Analyze data and performance metrics to identify root causes of inefficiencies and develop data-driven solutions.

External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship.

Your Qualifications

Required

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or related field).

2+ years of production engineering or related experience.

Experience in workshop moderation, facilitating Lean workshops, training sessions, and Kaizen events to engage employees and promote problem-solving and teamwork.

Preferred

Ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve results.

Experience of working in a high-paced automotive manufacturing environment

Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and develop data-driven solutions.
