Hospital Employed Psychiatry Physician

Signing bonus! Educational LoanRepayment! Opportunity for a full time Hospital employed Psychiatrist inRutland, VT. Our hospital owned inpatient unit includes an 18-bed general unitand adjacent 6-bed psychiatric ICU, which is a state level unit that onlyaccepts referrals through the state Department of Mental Health. Approximately 90% of admissions to the Generalunit are voluntary, whereas most admissions to the psychiatric ICU areinvoluntary. The psychiatry staff also manages a highly collaborative hospitalC&L service.

The Psychiatrist would need to bewilling to have their clinical work spread between several areas of serviceincluding inpatient psychiatry, outpatient services at our Medication AssistedTreatment Center and possible geriatric psychiatry in local nursing homes. The Psychiatristwould also be expected to participate in the collaborative problem-solving ofsituations that arise in the hospital that involve Psychiatric Services.

Requirements:

MD or DO degree.

Completion of an accreditedpsychiatry residency program.

Board Certification or eligibilityby the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
