Job Summary:

Basic Engineering Concepts & Technologies, Inc. (BecTech) is a Small Business Program Management and Engineering Services provider to Department of Defense (DoD) Agencies. BecTech is seeking professional candidates to fill the position of full-time Acquisition Cost Estimator in Crystal City, VA.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide cost related analysis and assessments of products and services and performs parametric tradeoff studies and assesses cost estimates.

Proficiency with using modern computational tools and spreadsheets to conduct cost assessments.

A cost estimator develops program life cycle cost estimates and performs concepts and technology tradeoff studies for programs and projects.

Required Education/Experience:

1 year of experience required; More than 1 year of experience preferred.

Degree in operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. is preferred.

Certified in the Cost Estimating career field by a recognized professional society or educational organization preferred.

Demonstrated ability to follow direction and work within a team.

Good interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Possess good communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Able to obtain and retain a security clearance.

ADA SPECIFICATIONS:

Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, and standing; frequent period of prolonged sitting may be required.

Ability to speak, read, hear, and write, with or without assistance.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Travel: Less than 5% expected
