Job Purpose Statement
The Maintenance Technician must be highly motivated, able to work safely in accordance with OSHA standards, effective as both an independent self-starter and when working cooperatively with others. Must be able to plan and execute work to meet crucial deadlines, efficiently serving our clients and contributing to the success of Crown.
Main Accountabilities
Troubleshoot and modify programmable logic controllers (PLCs) such as Allen-Bradley SLC-500 and Compactlogix controllers
Experience with HVAC controls and building automation systems
Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electrical control systems and instrument loops
Basic knowledge of instrument calibrations and Metrology practices
Troubleshoot and repair electrical or mechanical failure of production machines and facilities equipment
Knowledge of operation of manufacturing/packaging machinery and experience with installation of new and used equipment
3+ years of strong electrical background in troubleshooting motor controls
Metal fabrication and welding experience preferred
Work with engineering drawings, electrical schematics, engineering flow diagrams, basic shop math, and machine shop skills
Knowledge of cGMP practices
Job Related Qualification/Skills
High School Diploma or equivalent
Two-year certificate from a technical college or vocational school preferred
Experience in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry preferred
Ability to read, analyze and interpret SOPSs, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
Basic shop math skills – whether calculating averages for a control chart, making machine adjustments, or reading prints
Ability to solve practical problems
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills with knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, Documentation, ADP, and ability to use internet tools.
