Job Description and Requirements

Irrigation technicians assemble, install, and maintain commercial landscape irrigation pipes and systems. Duties include but are not limited to handling the materials for irrigation, troubleshooting irrigation systems, programming controllers, and performing a variety of other functions when necessary.

Irrigation technicians are expected to recognize and address watering issues by identifying plant stress and/or witnessing problems with the irrigation system. They should be able to diagnose and fix problems that are found; and understand the best way to build and/or repair the irrigation system. Irrigation technicians schedule general maintenance and system checks for the irrigation system throughout the entire nursery.

This is strenuous work requiring good vision, hearing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting, and the ability to work all day in varying greenhouse and outdoor areas.

Applicants must be able to stand for long periods of time. All jobs are outside, and applicant must be willing to work in all types of weather and be exposed to the elements. This includes, wind, rain, dust, cold, humidity, and extreme heat etc. Chemicals are applied in the nursery, and all employees are required to follow all safety guidelines established for chemical applications. Applicants must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted and 100+ pounds with a dolly.

Wages and Benefits

Hourly wages start at $16-19 depending on experience. Benefits for all full-time employees include Company Assisted Healthcare, Dental and Vision, 401K, Life Insurance, and Sick Time. We are also offering a $200 sign on bonus that will be paid out after 90 days.
