As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Tax Manager. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations, as well as strong analytical and leadership skills. The Tax Manager will be responsible for managing a team of tax professionals, reviewing tax returns, and providing strategic tax planning advice to our clients. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of tax compliance for our clients, including preparation and review of tax returns
Provide strategic tax planning advice to clients to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial outcomes
Manage a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support as needed
Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and exceptional service
Stay up-to-date on changes to tax laws and regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant requirements
Assist with special projects and initiatives as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance and planning, with demonstrated expertise in corporate tax, individual tax, and non-profit tax.
Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply complex tax concepts
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing and developing a team
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality
Essential Functions:
Work at a computer for long periods of time
Communicate regularly via email and phone
Speak and interact with clients in-person, phone, and email.
Requirements:
CPA license
Previous tax season experience
Preferences
Previous mentorship experience a plus
3+ years experience working in public accounting
Experience with CCH Axcess a plus
Strong critical thinking and analysis skills
Proactive and collaborative with Partners and staff
Commitment to completing tasks to meet deadlines especially during spring and fall
