Decades ago, our nation systematically removed Bible education from the public school day. LifeWise Academy is bringing it back. Under a little-known Supreme Court ruling, LifeWise empowers communities to provide Bible education for their public school students DURING SCHOOL HOURS. Tens of thousands of public school students attend LifeWise Bible classes each week.

We are looking for a gospel-centered, results-driven and detail-oriented Web Designer / Content Manager to join our team. Responsibilities

Human-centric design

You design around the objectives set for our end users

Your designs reduce friction as much as possible for the user

Your designs are beautiful and flow in a natural way for the user

Dynamic, Responsive Page Building

Utilize your expertise in dynamic web design to create responsive and visually appealing web pages.

Build pages that adapt seamlessly to various devices and screen sizes, ensuring an optimal user experience.

SEO Optimization

Implement SEO best practices to optimize website content for search engines.

Ensure that web pages are optimized for maximum visibility and ranking.

Web Analytics Maintenance, Optimization

Maintain and optimize web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Tag Manager.

Track and analyze website performance to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.

Web Scripting

Use your scripting skills to enhance website functionality and interactivity.

Implement custom scripts to achieve specific design and functionality requirements.

Build Web Pages Based on Designs and Requirements

Translate design concepts and requirements into functional web pages.

Collaborate with designers and stakeholders to ensure that web pages meet project objectives.

Web Standards Establishment and Enforcement

Establish and enforce web standards to ensure consistency and quality across all web pages.

Stay updated on industry best practices and trends to continually improve web standards.

Connect to back-end data sources

Create forms to populate back-end data systems

Build pages that dynamically bring in data from back-end sources

Skills

Dynamic Web Design: Proficiency in creating dynamic and visually appealing web designs

SEO Optimization: Knowledge of SEO principles and techniques to optimize web content

Google Analytics, Tag Manager: Experience with web analytics tools for tracking and analyzing website performance

PHP: Proficiency in PHP scripting language for web development

CSS: Strong skills in Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for styling web pages

Understanding of database structures and querying

Proficiency in Python and Javascript

Ability to connect to and integrate with various APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) to access and manipulate data from external sources or services.

Data Handling and Processing: Skills in handling and processing data efficiently, including data validation, manipulation, and transformation.

Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain responsive, dynamic, appealing websites

Portfolio showcasing previous web design and content management projects

Demonstrated ability to maintain analytics reporting and expand tags/events for new page builds and advertising campaigns

Working knowledge of current SEO principles and page optimization methodologies

Experience with WordPress and Elegant Themes/Divi (preferred)

From $70,000 per year
