The HR Specialist/Generalist is instrumental in maintaining a harmonious workplace environment by assisting in employment relation matters, overseeing onboarding processes for new hires, and implementing strategies to foster positive interactions among employees. RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct comprehensive new employee orientations, ensuring seamless onboarding experiences.

Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, directing complex or sensitive matters to the relevant personnel.

Assist with fair and thorough investigations into employee complaints, conflicts, or policy violations.

Provide guidance and mediation to resolve issues in a timely and fair manner.

Support the HR Business Partner in researching and formulating company and HR-specific policies for Tarragon Property Services.

Create and maintain personnel records and confidential files; perform file audits to ensure proper documentation and appropriate record retention.

Assign HR training modules as required.

Manage paperwork for terminations and conduct exit interviews.

Assist in employee performance reviews, updating database, maintaining files, and monitoring progress.

Compile and distribute reports related to employee headcount, milestone anniversaries, and turnover data.

Support additional HR projects as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

3-5 years of progressive experience in HR, specifically focusing on employee relations.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

PHR preferred but not required.

Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.

Technologically savvy, with high proficiency in all Microsoft Office and HRIS programs.

Strong ability to keep information confidential at all times.

Ability to prioritize workload, multi-task, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills necessary to communicate and work effectively with management and co-workers.

Ability to take the initiative to complete projects, tasks, and assignments.

Exceptional ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.

Schedule and Location: This position will be located onsite in Sumner, Washington with normal working hours between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
