RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing and supporting the processes, which contribute to the innovation and development in the important growth region China for the business line Catalysts
Strategic planning, coordination and scientific management for chemical, technical and applied technology related projects in Greater China Region
Management of important, complex and company wide R&D projects with a project team which consists of corporate employees, company internal and external cooperation partners
Functional and disciplinary responsibility for laboratories in Shanghai based on the well -
recognized and known expertise on the function's field of work
Contact to important internal and external customers for the representation of the field of work, the products and the coordination of customer cooperations
Project responsibility for important strategic projects and the set-up of strategic alliances
Negotiation and signing of cooperation contracts with company internal and external partners within the approved budget
ESHQ responsibility for the laboratories and pilot plants and responsibility to implement of a suitable subordinate organization
Planning of the increase of personnel, including selection of personnel and cost responsibility
Disciplinary and functional responsibility for a group of exempt and non-exempt employees
REQUIREMENTS
Master or PhD, study chemistry, process engineering, chemical reaction engineering with focus on catalysis
5-10 years working experience in catalyst development or catalyst applied technology
Strong knowledge in general catalysis
Strong background in catalysis industry (precious catalyst) is a plus
Solid ability on team management and lab management
Fluent oral and written English
