PHYSICAL THERAPIST - Perris, CA

Under the general direction of the Clinic Director, the Physical Therapist evaluates therapy needs. Develops and implements Physical Therapy programs for assigned patients. Participates in related clinical activities. Perform initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations according to APTA standards of practice as well as state standards. Develop Plan of Treatment for each patient based on initial and ongoing evaluations including short- and long-term goals, collaboration demands of other staff members, and required patient and caregiver involvement.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implement Plan of Treatment on a consistent schedule and adjust this schedule and plan according to patient progress.

Document patient progress according to approved medical documentation and facility documentation procedures.

Evaluate mobility, strength and current level of patient function, while setting goals to improve in these areas that are scaled to patient abilities and realistically attainable.

Develop a plan for patients following completion of their Plan of Treatment

Maintain professional and technical knowledge through attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications, etc.

Assist other facility staff members as needed to provide care and create a clean, orderly and effective environment for rehabilitation and physical therapy.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Sound judgment in applying academic knowledge and clinical experience

Providing direct and indirect Physical Therapy patient care.

Organize time and set priorities appropriately, demonstrating flexibility.

Establish rapport with MDs, adjustors, case managers, patients, families, professionals, co-workers, and the public. Assume responsibility and uphold decisions of supervising therapists

Lift and move patients and equipment using sound judgment Integrity and discretion in all job-related matters. Attitude of excellence in providing quality patient care

Demonstrate integrity and discretion in all job-related matters

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Graduate of a school of Physical Therapy accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association, or a foreign-trained equivalent. Licensed by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance or accepted for licensure within six months from date of employment.Company Description
