Estimator for Commercial Construction

Job Summary:

Commonwealth Blinds & Shades is looking for a Commercial Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing commercial construction projects for Division 12 window treatment scope of work and preparing accurate takeoffs for each project. The candidate will also be responsible for working with commercial general contractors and vendors to ensure that all estimates are accurate, and the best possible outcomes are achieved.

Duties:

· Analyze project drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work.

· Prepare detailed takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipment required for commercial construction projects.

· Utilize construction estimating software such as Bluebeam to create accurate estimates

· Communicate with general contractors pre-bid (RFI's) and post-bid (follow-up)

Qualifications:

· Prefer division 8 thru 12 and/or someone with architectural commercial construction takeoff experience.

· Proven experience in construction estimating and project management

· Proficiency in construction estimating software - Should have Bluebeam online takeoff experience

· Excellent negotiation skills for dealing with subcontractors

· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

· Strong analytical skills

· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint)
