Position Summary:

Folding Guard is seeking a skilled Welder to join our dynamic team. The Welder will play a crucial role in fabricating and assembling our safety and security products, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate should have experience in various welding techniques and a strong commitment to safety and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform welding tasks using various techniques such as MIG and ARC welding to join metals according to specifications.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to accurately produce components.

Ensure all welds meet quality and safety standards and make necessary adjustments as needed.

Prepare workpieces by cleaning, cutting, and shaping materials as required for the welding process.

Set up welding equipment, including selecting appropriate tools and adjusting settings for optimal performance.

Inspect finished welds to verify they meet established quality standards and specifications.

Address any defects or inconsistencies in the welding process promptly and report them to the supervisor.

Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and following established procedures.

Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and relevant codes and standards.

Work closely with other members of the production team to ensure seamless workflow and efficient production processes.

Provide support to other departments as needed to meet production goals and deadlines.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Welder, with a strong portfolio of completed welding projects.

Proficiency in MIG, and ARC welding techniques.

Familiarity with various metals and alloys.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to a safe working environment.

Welding certification (preferred).

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions, including standing, kneeling, and bending for extended periods.
