Job Description
Fibertex Nonwovens, a global world-class manufacturer, is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to support the quality assurance and quality control and develop and implement inspection activities and detect and resolve problems and deliver satisfactory outcomes.
Essential job responsibilities
Ensure ongoing abidance to industry regulatory and quality requirements
Address, investigate and resolve customer or supplier grievances and other non-conformance issues as necessary using 8D methodology
Collaborate with production team(s) to understand product changes and QA testing requirements to deal with issues/defects in a timely manner
Communicate and train associates on changes to testing parameters
Recognize and maintain the confidentiality of all materials in the work setting, including document control (e.g. Operational Guidelines)
Responsible for using the ERP system to enter information, assign nonconformances, and to validate data for quality control and assist in training associates as needed
Review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspections systems
Initiate nonconformance reports for internal and external discrepancies
Facilitate the inspection or manual testing of products before, during and after the manufacturing process to ensure set standards are met
Review COAs and validate incoming raw materials and release to production.
Review and approve COAs for outgoing finished goods.
Facilitate change management system (e.g. PCR)
Coordinate internal and external calibration services
Support risk management and continuous improvement activities, including audit activities
Support management in data collection to keep trend of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
Support R&D in setting up and performing new tests for trial products
Qualifications/Competencies
Associates or Technical Degree or equivalent
Certified Process Quality Analyst (CQPA) within two years
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, QA applications and databases
Strong ERP knowledge and proficiency
Willingness to actively pursue certifications for professional growth
Knowledge of IATF16949 and ISO 9001:2015 Standards
Excellent verbal and written skills; must be able to communicate clearly with all levels
Ability to work with minimal supervision to complete responsibilities
Knowledge of quality requirements, terminology and tools
Strong inspection, data collection and auditing abilities
Understanding of data and statistical analyses
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in quality, process engineering or related field
