Job Description
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or license practical nurse
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
- Assist with patient assessments and document findings
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Provide support to patients and their families by offering emotional and physical comfort
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a nursing assistant training program or equivalent experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
- Experience in home care or long-term care settings is preferred
- Ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity and professionalism
- Must be able to pass background check
- Able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
- Valid Driver's License and transportation
