We are offering a unique opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team based in GLEN ALLEN, Virginia. This role involves managing sales orders and vendor invoices for high-value deliveries, with a strong emphasis on detail and accuracy. The successful candidate will also play a pivotal role in our transition to the Microsoft Dynamics system. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities: • Review and process sales orders imported through the system, ensuring accuracy in quantity and documentation. • Diligently review vendor invoices related to the delivery of liquid chemicals, with a strong focus on unit of measure. • Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments. • Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications efficiently. • Adapt to a remote work environment and contribute effectively to the team's objectives. • Leverage intermediate Excel skills to manage and organize data efficiently. • Play an instrumental role in the transition to the Microsoft Dynamics system, adapting quickly to new technologies. • Maintain a strong Accounts Payable background to understand and execute job functions effectively. • Prioritize attention to detail in managing high-value transactions, ensuring accuracy and minimizing financial discrepancies. • Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner.• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounts payable role. • Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics GP. • Familiarity with Pivot Table. • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities. • Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of office equipment, such as printers and copiers.
