Target Range:$115,000.00/Yr. - $135,000.00/Yr.

Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 10%

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 10%

These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.

About This JobThe Accounting Manager will provide critical oversight of accounting entries/reconciliations and support monthly reporting for the entities in the Securities Segment of Axos Financial. The position will be responsible for maintaining and improving the Month-end close cycle as well as participate in key accounting department initiatives and supporting the preparation of the FOCUS reports and supporting the audit process.. In order to build out and improve the operational efficiency of the accounting department, an experienced independent leader who can execute change and support the long and short- term goals of Senior Management is needed. Many of the underlying closing processes need to be streamlined and/or formally documented, to enable the accounting department the ability to support the continued growth of the Company.

Responsibilities:

Executing and monitoring the accounting operations of the Securities Segment to include the production of financial reports, preparation and review of reconciliations and monthly variance analysis.

Enhance the accuracy of the entity's reported financial results and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles and broker dealer accounting standards

Assist accounting Senior Management in maintaining, updating and enhancing documented procedures and processes and SOX controls, with the goal of reducing the current close cycle and reporting timeline to the Parent Company

Review and process recurring monthly General Ledger entries as well as evaluate/research non-recurring items and their potential impact on the reported results

Implement new accounting systems and integrate current systems to reduce manual processes and automate controls

Assist in executing the month-end close process as directed/needed by accounting Senior Management

Assist with special projects as directed/needed by accounting Senior Management

Prepare support for independent public accounting auditors, regulators, internal auditors, and risk management as directed by accounting Senior Management

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

7+ years' accounting, demonstrating progressive responsibility

US GAAP

Financial statement close process

GL account reconciliation process

Strong supervisory and leadership skills

Experience with process implementation/continuous improvement

Preferred:

CPA or MBA

Public accounting experience, including Big 4 experience

Public company experience

Broker Dealer or finance experience
