With a crew of audio engineers and music producers, we are revolutionizing the online music creation process and providing artists with tools to develop their skills, to create and promote their music.

Right now, we have a remote opportunity for a Senior Backend Web Developer to join our fully scaled agile team.

As a hands-on Backend Web Developer, you will have a crucial role spearheading this transformation.

Working in two-week sprint cycles, the successful candidate will evaluate and, as necessary, transform our organization to ensure that we have the right resources, technologies, and operating models in place to add even more value for our customers.

Development skills: · Proven experience with MERN technologies (MongoDB, Express, React, Nodejs) and strong proficiency in Javascript.

· Proven experience designing and developing applications and services which can scale using modern cloud architecture patterns (Azure). · Experience with managing distributed systems in Kubernetes clusters.

· Experience with Docker-based development environments.

· Experience integrating/developing automated and background processes in Python, Go, Bash, etc.

· Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

· Able to integrate with and manage APIs exposing microservices (REST, JSON, JWT, etc.). · Experience working with agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean Startup, Kanban, XP), cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, Designers, Test Engineers) and version control (Git) · Familiarity developing cloud-hosted, responsive, single page web & mobile applications using React / React Native, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 · Familiarity with event-driven architecture (RabbitMQ) · Familiarity with test-and-learn approaches using web and customer analytics data, understanding how this drives hypotheses-based development · Independently motivated with great time management skills · Ideally familiar with Design Thinking and Behaviour · A bachelor's or master's degree in technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience.

· 8+ years of professional experience.

Responsibilities will include: · Implement new features and enhancements for the next generation of Audioworks mobile and web-based products.

· Reviewing code and providing feedback to fellow developers · Engaging with developers daily, helping to solve problems and contributing to team atmosphere · Mentoring staff through paired programming sessions and shadowing · Program enhancements, unit testing, and bug fixing · Engage with key stakeholders and senior management during strategy sessions and technical reviews · Remotely attend daily standups to keep the team up to date on current issue status.

· Innovate and provide critical thinking and problem-solving ability to drive change and develop creative technology solutions.
