Cashier

Breads Unlimited in Bethesda, MD is looking for cashiers to join our team. We are located at 6914 Arlington Rd and we are a family run business. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and hard-working. We have part-time and full-time positions available. 11:30AM - 7:30PM for Monday - Friday, 2PM - 7PM for Monday - Friday, or other adjustable hours.

Responsibilities:

Greet customers entering and leaving the business.

Maintain a clean and tidy storefront.

Accurately process all cash and credit payments.

Identify and accurately explain all products in the storefront.

Provide customers with information on additional items in order to meet upselling targets.

Verify that customers who have communicated food allergies are not sold products that could be dangerous to their health.

Provide exceptional customer service.

Qualifications:

Proven working experience as a cashier or in customer service.

Basic mathematical skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Must have the dexterity and technical ability necessary to operate a cash register and credit card machine.

Must have good communication skills and be willing to work with the general public.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Work involves hours of standing, walking around behind counters, and bending to retrieve baked goods from display counters.
