Production Manager

Job Description

As the second in command of a 150 person injection molding plant you will be responsible for factory leadership, particularly in operations and maintenance. All maintenance and production teams, as well as manufacturing-related processes, will be managed by this individual. We are seeking individuals who desire continued career growth within our organization, preferably with ability to lead plants.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

* Lead, coach, and manage the performance of the maintenance and production teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

* Manage and continuously improve preventative maintenance plans for container manufacturing, bottling, water processing, and utility equipment

* Provide technical support for all capital projects in the facility

*Provide technical support / leadership for all safety, environmental, quality initiatives.

*Provide leadership presence as needed during weekends, nights, and holidays when the factory runs 24/7

*Establish and maintain standard operating procedures for all maintenance and production-related activities

* Leverage SAP(or like system) to manage all work orders, parts inventory, and maintenance costing activities

*Actively support employee events and plant-wide functions across all shifts

*Rigorously(Proactively) support peers, and safety, quality, and supply initiatives

*Ensure teams are following through on meticulous housekeeping and factory organization

Requirements:

Key Qualifications Include:

*Strong history of factory leadership and frontline development, coaching of technical and operations teams.

*Successful operations management experience in a food or beverage production environment.

*Experience in a container manufacturing and bottling environment is preferred.

*Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

*Experience creating an internal environment of accountability, engagement and cooperation

*Demonstrate ownership and a high degree of commitment

*Previous experience successfully managing a factory is preferred

*Problem-solving and CI background, solid process orientation

*Experience utilizing the principles of 5S, Statistical Process Control, and 'CI experience required/TPM experience preferred.

*Ability to develop and execute solutions accordingly.

*Capability to implement sustainable processes (SOPs and factory organization)

*Successful experience working with relevant equipment and systems.

*Technical degree with three to five years of experience managing a maintenance or technical department or five to seven years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.

* Financial and budgetary management along with overall supply chain experience (manufacturing plus logistics) is highly preferred

* Hands-on injection molding or blow molding expertise preferred but not required
