Located in North OKC but provides prescriptions and other services for our clients all over the state of Oklahoma and Arkansas. Hunter's Precision Pharmacy Provides Prescription services for Community Mental Health Centers, Mental Health Treatment Services and Mental Health Residential Care Facilities. Independently owned and operated. Established in 2004.

Unique job opportunity for experienced pharmacy technician that will allow you to use your pharmacy experience and knowledge in a clinical setting.

This position does require travel that may include early morning hours or late evening hours, usually 3 of the 5 days a week. (Paid travel time and transportation provided)

FT Travel Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

The Travel Pharmacy Technician will ensure that medication orders received from clients are entered promptly and accurately into the company pharmacy software program. The Travel Pharmacy Technician will provide excellent customer service. The Travel Pharmacy Technician will work under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.

Shift and Hours:

Full Time

Monday thru Friday

Schedules, including the days of week, are subject to change upon shift or customer needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Providing excellent customer service to customers by building loyalty and repeat business.

Handle cash/credit card transactions and accurately enter sales information.

Manage prescription signature log.

Input orders in a timely and accurate manner using the company pharmacy software program.

Verify all information is complete in accordance with the most current version of the Oklahoma Pharmacy Law Book.

Respond to customer inquiries as necessary.

Verify all information is complete on the prescription.

Communicate with clients / facilities to alert them to any issues during the data entry process including any known inventory shortage, special order or recall.

Update patient profile with all the necessary information from prescription. Ensuring that patient’s allergies, therapies and current medication are updated.

Assist with finding lost or missed orders on request.

Answer inbound facility phone calls.

Receive and store incoming Prescriptions, verify quantities against manifests, check for outdated medications in current inventory.

Communicate directly with patients, pharmacists, and clinic staff.

Skills:

Ability to analyze, read and interpret doctor’s orders.

Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and be flexible.

Must be a self-starter and be able to work with little direct supervision.

Frequent use of basic math skills-ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; this may include using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Must possess excellent customer service skills.

Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Be familiar with brand/generic drug names and general pharmacy terminology.

Intermediate typing/keyboarding skills

Requirements:

High school Diploma or equivalent

Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy Technician Permit preferred without disciplinary restrictions.

Pre – employment background and driving record check (travel is necessary)

Pre- employment drug screen.

1+ years’ experience as Data Entry in a retail setting/Long Term Care Pharmacy preferred.

Experienced with pharmacy computer software programs.

Must complete required Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy Technician training according to the standards of the board.

Must complete any other job-related training that may occur.

Technician must abide by all state and federal laws regarding the appropriate labeling and dispensing of prescription medications.

Must know, understand and follow HIPPA regulations.

Ability to work agreed upon schedule.

Must be punctual and dependable for assigned shifts.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.

Must be able to type & look at computer screen for extended periods of time.

Occasional lifting of file boxes, computer paper, computer prescription labels or other work-related supplies to perform job.

Work Environment:

A Travel Pharmacy Tech can expect fast paced work that is repetitive in a clinical setting. Must be able to handle multiple tasks (Data Entry, answering telephone, waiting on customers, etc.) while meeting a daily deadline to assure all scripts are entered for next day delivery.
