Baker Hill, a renowned leader in providing cutting-edge financial technology solutions, is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team. The Sales Development Rep quickly develops an in-depth understanding of Baker Hill products, target audiences and the financial technology industry. Prospects/cold calls into targeted markets, coordinating with marketing and lead gen efforts, and qualifying prospective clients for Account Executives. Makes a high volume of daily phone calls and manages/nurtures opportunities to ensure lead progression through the sales funnel. Compensation is a combination of base salary, commission, and bonus-based components.

Essential Functions

Be one of the first points of contact for financial institutions interested in Baker Hill.

Contact (email, call, social) a high volume of leads per day to ensure that they are fully aware of Baker Hill’s capabilities, interested in consulting with one of our seasoned sales professionals and are qualified to move on to a demonstration of our solutions.

Develop and refine qualified leads for our sales teams to generate qualified meetings through cold calling, responding to inbound calls, following up with leads generated by various marketing programs, sales campaigns and target account prospecting.

Schedule demonstrations with qualified leads based on targets for percent of leads converted and monthly total pipeline development goals.

Evaluate each lead’s goals, status in the buying process, purchasing power and effectively communicate that to the sales/marketing teams.

Appropriately track, update/monitor and maintain each contact within our CRM database (Salesforce.com), as well as the overall flow of contacts through our demand generation process.

Manage and nurture demand generation pipeline leads and opportunities in a specified region; ensure progression of opportunities through the sales funnel.

Work with partners and resellers to identify new prospective clients and markets

Understand Baker Hill’s products, value proposition and positioning. Keep up to date on industry trends and the competition’s positioning within the marketplace.

Serve as a key link between sales and marketing by assisting marketing with Account Based Marketing, lead nurturing, identification of market trends and competitive/market intelligence gathering.

Participate in regular marketing planning sessions to adjust as needed messaging, pricing inputs and value propositions.

Make consistent and effective use of Salesforce, Hubspot and MKS (internal database).

“Focus on the customer” by understanding their industry, business, and challenges.

Requirements

BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Sales, Communications, Finance or related field

3+ yrs. in one or more of the following: Inside Sales, Demand Gen, Software Sales, Financial Services Sales, Customer Experience

Preferred: B2B, Salesforce, technology/SaaS

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities and deadlines

Able to conceptualize/explain complex concepts and ideas in a clear and concise manner; can translate complex ideas into engaging and digestible messages.

Outstanding presentation and communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to collaborate effectively across internal and external groups in person and over the phone

Comfort presenting to and influencing clients, partners, team members and stakeholders.

Proven ability to conduct independent research to identify solutions and opportunities.

Ability and desire to quickly establish high level understanding of the financial services and financial technology industry

Goal oriented, organized, and self-disciplined

Inquisitive/curious, coachable, and willing to learn the key drivers of the industry
